How Art Therapy Helps

Creativity as another language when words are difficult

A gentle, structured approach to exploring life experiences, emotions, and self-understanding through tactile media.

01

What is creative arts therapy?

Creative arts therapy uses art-making, imagery, movement, and tactile materials as primary channels for communication. It engages non-verbal brain pathways, making it easier to process complex feelings without needing to find exact words.

02

Who might benefit?

Art therapy supports children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, sensory processing differences, neurodivergence, grief, relationship changes, or life transitions.

03

What happens in a session?

Sessions are low-demand and client-led. We begin with a quiet check-in, move into creative exploration with your choice of materials, and finish by gently noticing what emerged together.

04

Do I need to be artistic?

No art experience is needed. Art therapy focuses entirely on the process of creating and discovering, never on technical skill or artistic output.

05

Materials & creative modalities

Our studio holds clay, watercolours, acrylics, pastels, collage materials, textiles, leather, and natural items. You are invited to touch, build, blend, or simply experiment.

Corrie Nantes Portrait
HI, I'M CORRIE.

I believe people already carry the wisdom needed for healing.

My role isn't to provide answers. It's to create
the conditions where new possibilities can
emerge through creativity.

I felt safe before I even picked up a paintbrush.

The art helped me discover things I couldn't explain with words.

A warm, welcoming space that changed the way I see myself.

The studio.

A safe space for creativity, curiosity, and authentic connection. Every drawer and shelf holds resources ready for you to explore.
